Goldcrest Resources plc is pleased to announce the grant of a prospecting licence which enables drilling to be undertaken over 145km² of the Zamsa reconnaissance licence. The prospecting licence was approved by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources in Ghana on 28 March 2014 with an initial term of two years.
The prospecting licence covers the 14km long gold in soils anomaly at Zamsa that lies adjacent to the regional Bole-Bolgatanga Fault and the nearby Kadema artisanal workings. Neither prospect has yet been drilled, despite shallow
trenching at Zamsa demonstrating consistent bedrock mineralisation up to 10m @ 1.52g/t Au.
The renewal application over the Fumbisi licence is currently being processed and a further update will be issued to shareholders in due course.
Frederick Bell, Managing Director of Goldcrest, commented, "The receipt of the prospecting licence is a significant step that allows us to start detailed planning for a maiden drill program."
The Directors of the Issuer accept responsibility for this announcement.
