Goldcrest Resources plc, the gold focused company with interests in projects located in Ghana, announces that the Company’s option agreement dated 15 January 2013 over the Zamsa exploration licence in Ghana has been terminated.

The Company also announces that Gavin Burnell has resigned as Chairman of the Board with immediate effect in order to focus on his other business interests. Executive Director Callum Baxter has moved to the position of Non-Executive Director and commented: “We would like to thank Gavin who has been instrumental in the Company’s development and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Niall Tomlinson, Executive Director said: “In line with the Company’s focus to prioritise near-term production assets, we have recently centred our activities in the south of Ghana, primarily on the Asheba and Akoko Gold Projects. The Board made a strategic decision to redirect funds away from the Zamsa project in order to expedite development at Asheba and Akoko and we look forward to providing further updates on this in due course.”
